There is a rumor that Honda will come up with a new platform for its new 2017 Honda Pilot, which will reach by the last quarter of 2016. This new platform will offer wider dimension to the car thus increasing interior space. The enlarged space is 3.5 inch longer than before so that it can accommodate more space behind the back seat mainly for luggage and it is feature with one touch rear chair access. This vehicle might get a Blue Ray entertainment program in its audio package that supports blue ray disc, multiple headphone jack and much more exciting features. Of course only a fool can believe in this nonsense. The 2017 Honda Pilot will be exactly the same as the current model and will receive only minor changes.
2017 Honda Pilot Exterior and Interior
This third generation of Pilot has got a new modern design. Notice that it now looks more like the CR-V, ie that it has thrown out old boxy look. The front fascia will be padded with black grille with chrome linings, Xenon LED headlamp, new powerful fog lamp and variable intermittent windshield wiper. Other amenities that are attached on side parts are door edge guard, integrated antenna, one touch Moonroof with tilt feature, body colored heated side mirror with LED turn indicator roof rails, surf board attachment, acoustic windshield and smart entry. The rear fascia of the car is attached with body colored bumper, back intermittent windshield wiper, rear view camera, Xenon LED taillight, rear privacy glass, remote tailgate opener, trailer hitch pin, kit for towing along with various other attachments. Honda with its new design tried bring out more muscular look such that it can attract more customers.
Some will say that the new 2017 Honda Pilot looks better than ever, but call me old-fashioned, I miss its old angry robot checkered design!
2017 Honda Pilot has been incorporated with much interior design technique and most important modification is the enlargement of cabin space and more leg space. For seating arrangement, the car has been loaded with three row foldable seats, leather trimmed seats, driver seat with ten power adjustment, lumbar support for driver seat, heated front row, four-way power adjustable front passenger seat, head restraints, perforated and heated second row seats and one touch second row seats.
The 2017 Honda Pilot comfort and convenience package includes tri zone automatic air conditioning with climate and humidity control, push button start, tilt and telescopic steering, update infotainment system, sliding sun visor, rear heat ducts, cargo area light, door lights, illuminated steering wheel control etc. The entertainment part which is heavily modified includes large screen high-resolution LED display, Honda advanced satellite navigation system, 12 premium speaker audio system with subwoofer, SiriusXM radio, HD radio, HDMI port, Bluetooth, USB/iPod connectivity and Honda Link feature.
2017 Honda Pilot Engine and Performance
The new 2017 Honda Pilot will be powered by 3.5 liter V6 engine that can produce a horsepower of 280 hp and a torque of 265 lb-ft. It won’t available any other engine option so this would be the basic and soul engine. The engine with a 6-speed automatic transmission system which would produce a good driving experience for families going for long drives through highways. The Touring and Elite model will come with 9-speed automatic transmission. It is also important to note that all models will be equipped with AWD system.
The fuel consumption of the car would be around 19 mpg in city roads and 27 mpg on the highways for models with 6-speed automatic transmission and 20 mpg in the city and 28 mpg on the highway for models with 9-speed transmission.
2017 Honda Pilot Price and Release Date
The 2017 Honda Pilot would be released in late 2016 with a price tag around $32,000 for basic LX model. It is important to note that LX model will also come with AWD system. If you opt for EX model you will must to set aside $33,500, while EX-L version has a price of $38,500. The 2017 Honda Pilot Touring model will have a price of $41,000, while Elite model which is top of the line will have a price higher than $47,000.
I would love to buy a 2017 or 2018 Honda Pilot or Honda Element, but I am looking for a hybrid. Is there any possibility that this will be available in the future?
