The Honda presented the concept car for AC-X in Tokyo Motor Show back in the year 2011. Thereafter, the manufacturers used 5 more years to bring this car to reality and now 2017 Honda AC-X is on its way to dazzle the car enthusiasts with its tech savvy aspects. No, it won’t be as futuristic as the concept car promised to be and over these years, a number of alterations have taken place. However, as its development process is nearing an end, it can be predicted how the 2017 model will turn out to be. Reports say it’s going to be incredible.

2017 Honda AC-X Exterior and Interior

The 2017 Honda AC-X is going to be an advanced car, and let’s just say that Honda didn’t waste these past five years playing around only with available technologies. They indeed took the extra step to design a futuristic car, and this new generation vehicle is now almost ready. This one’s going to be a revolutionary one. From outside the car looks cool and trendy with its outlines and suave body language.

From its front bumper to its single lined tail lamps, everything shows fresh new design: nothing we’re used to. This car is all for originality. While car enthusiasts are very excited to know about the supercar features, Honda is not ready to spill the beans just yet. But what we do know is that this car will come with a twin-lever steering system and will be different from contemporary cars.

Here comes the magic. The 2017 Honda AC-X might remind a person of popular sci-fi movies. Considering the look, the interior of this car appears to be fictional. Its four-door coupe can accommodate five riders including the driver. As mentioned earlier, the twin-lever steering from the concept car has actually made its way to 2017 AC-X. There’s major use of white carbon for the interior surface. And finally the best part: AC-X 2017 would feature the auto pilot option, so apart from Engine-Drive mode, buyers will get to use an Automatic-Drive mode. You can now finally sit back and relax while your car does its driving.

2017 Honda AC-X Engine Specs

The 2011 concept car featured two engines, and 2017 Honda AC-X is about to do the same. There will be a 1.6-liter four-cylinder engine with internal-combustion that can produce a drive of about 167 HP. Another one would be an electric engine and this electric motor is expected to pump up as much as 161 HP. When the car is running only on this electric motor, it will have a maximum speed of 62 mpg. They’ll both be mated with either five-speed or six-speed transmission and would be offering plausible fuel economy. However, nothing about the gearbox or about the fuel figures has been formally revealed by Honda yet.

2017 Honda AC-X Price and Release Date

The Honda might opt for fuel-cell Hydrogen tech and in that case, its price will certainly touch $40,000. Otherwise, the base versions wouldn’t cost that much and would reside within a lower range. Unofficial sources suggest that 2017 Honda AC-X might arrive at the beginning of 2017.
