A lot of car enthusiasts especially, those who love their Hondas will be glad to know that Hennessy performance, makers of a high-powered car have been roped in to revive the Honda NSX which has been struggling to gain traction in markets where people love fast vehicles. In America, this is likely to be launched as the Acura but to the rest of the world, it will be introduced as a Honda. The Honda NSX Hennessey is one of the models in the manufacturer’s luxury models but unlike gas guzzling sports cars, the Honda NSX is essentially a hybrid car which means it will have a low fuel consumption rating. Honda has finally created a prototype, having moved from the paper designs and concept cars that were created to give people a general idea of what people can expect from the new Honda NSX Hennessey.
Honda NSX Hennessey New Design
The Honda NSX Hennessey has a lot of new state of the art technologies dubbed “Zero Delay technologies” they involve a frame design that is torsionally rigid but light enough not to weigh the car down. Zero delay is applied also on suspension points custom made using revolutionary technology. The driver can feel this torsional control while driving. The materials used on the body are predominantly aluminum and carbon fiber, which are light but strong enough to keep the car from disintegrating in the event of a collision. The designers went for the flair and the virility that Italians always seem to like but it also has the modern design of a BMWi8. For a sports car, it lacks the angularity and sharp body lines, instead, it has the fluid contours that make it look spectacular from the outside. Honda has fitted a cluster of exhaust pipes that might be considered unusual for a small car especially one that is expected to clock speeds of 60 mph in less than 3 minutes. The exhaust pipes serve a purpose and when you come to understand the mechanics, you realize that the Honda NSX Hennessey is not your typical high-performance sports car, which is why Hennessey has such an interest in redesigning the car.
The interior is big and spacious and comes fitted with the best Alcantara upholstery and gadgets that any serious driver would need. The seats are extremely comfortable and there is ample legroom. The console is interesting. It has all the bells and wheels you would expect to find in a sports car. Most of the features, buttons and knobs are the same as those found in the previous model. What Honda has done is to configure the inside to feel more like racing cars.
