With the introduction of Honda WR-V 2017, the Japanese manufacturer aims to find its place at the top of the compact cross – over the market. The new WR – V is based on the design of the Jazz hatchback, but with a number of distinguishing features. These include a revamped sporty and rugged look, as well as additional stylish elements. With these additions, the new WR – V is supposed to challenge the Renault Duster and Ford Ecosport.
Honda WR-V 2017 – Sports Muscular Lines:
As mentioned, the upcoming WR – V will be based on the Jazz design, albeit significantly beefed up. It will feature a much more compact and sleek silhouette, as well as hatchback design cues. Other notable elements of the interior include a touch-screen infotainment system, a keyless entry, ABS and dual airbags, adaptive cruise control, as well as push – start and stop system. Its interior is also quite spacious and offers a lot of shoulder room and legroom, for both front and rear seat occupants. The rear seats can be reclined, so as to offer even more space if needed. All the seats, in general, are covered in leather and fully adjustable.
Honda WR-V 2017 – Two Different Engine Variants:
The new Honda WR-V 2017 will come in two different engine variants. One will be equipped with a petrol engine, the other with a diesel one. The petrol one is a 1.2 liter I – VTEC, capable of providing 88 horsepower at 6.000 rpm. The maximum torque is estimated at 109 Nm at 4,500 rpm. The diesel engine is a 1.5 liter i – DTEC, which provides an output of 98 horsepower at 3.600r rpm. The petrol engine comes equipped with a 5 – speed manual transmission and CVT. The diesel one comes with a 6 – speed manual. The fuel efficiency is reportedly very good, with a petrol variant reaching 12-15 mpg, and a diesel one reaching 20 mpg.
Honda WR-V 2017 – Date of Launch and Predicted Price:
The release date of the new Honda WR-V 2017 is not yet specified, but it is expected to become available in the mid of 2017. The price will range from 17.000$ for the manual version, up to 21.500$ for the automatic version.
