2017 Honda Rincon 680 – Features

The 2017 Honda Rincon 680 is the 1st ATV to incorporate an independent rear suspension for bringing out a well-controlled wheel travel. This suspension system consists of aluminum components including the forged aluminum knuckles of the double-wishbone design.

Instead of the conventional ball joints and radius arms, the knuckle pivots incorporate lightweight metal bushing. This eliminates the toe-in when the suspension travels through its stroke. This suspension system has a simplistic design which helps in enhancing the overall handling characteristics.

  • Transmission

The Honda Rincon is also the first to employ an automatic transmission system. This gearbox will consist of an ECU (Electronic Control Unit) which monitors and takes data of engine oil temperature, vehicle speed, brake application and throttle opening to determine optimum gear selection.

  • Torque-sensing Differential

One of the greatest innovations in Honda Rincon and Rubicon is the clutch-less differential in the front. The ingenious system automatically delivers power to its wheel that has the most grip. This eliminates all efforts to initiate sudden turns in uneven terrains.
