2021 Acura MDX Powertrain
The upcoming 2021 Acura MDX will be available with strong engines. According to the latest news, the new MDX will keep its engine lineup. That means there will be a few engine options. The base one model comes with 3.5-liter V6 that delivers great output of 300 HP and 270 lb-ft of torque. This unit is available with standard front-wheel-drive system and a 9-speed automatic transmission.
MDX Type S version
MDX Type S version will be also available according to the latest spy photos. The new SUV is caught testing and is wearing heavy camouflage. This model is a high-performance variant that will come with the twin-turbo V6 engine that will generate more than 400 HP. The 2021 Acura MDX Hybrid sport is also confirmed. According to the latest news, the hybrid variant combines standard 3,5-liter V6 engine with three electric motors. This model will be available with dual-clutch 7-speed gearbox and AWD system as standard. Furthermore, it will be able to generate slightly over 300 horses. As before, the hybrid version will offer better fuel economy than other models. Some rumors indicate that will be around 35 mpg combined.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2021 Acura MDX will increase. The starting price of the base model will be around $46,000. However, the hybrid version will cost $50,000.
Also, the high-performance MDX Type S will reach the $60,000 mark. The newest crossover will be available in the summer next year as the 2021 model.
