As for the exterior, the 2021 Triton will gain a couple of visual improvements.
The rear end now comes with new bumper and taillights. Upfront, Triton will get new headlamps and reshaped grille. Aerodynamics are improved as well. Overall, the 2021 Triton will look very attractive and stylish. Some parts of the pickup truck are looking modern as never before. Finally, the platform will stay intact. That means the dimensions and the vehicle’s shape will largely remain.
More Tech, Better Safety Rating
On the inside, a new model will keep its current interior layout. There will be room for five passengers. The 2021 Mitsubishi Triton will get more premium materials this time and a couple of new features. The upholstery is unique, along with the new air vents. According to the latest reports, Triton will now offer the same engine lineup as its L200 sibling. The forthcoming 2021 Mitsubishi Triton will deploy a 3.6-liter V6. Furthermore, 2.4-liter four-cylinder diesel powertrain is in the offer. It will deliver 180 hp and 340 lb-ft of torque. The new gasoline engine will be a 2.4-liter that will generate around 150 horses.
The 2021 Triton will offer three engine options, and that’s not it. The range-topping trim level could get a larger and more powerful output. The latest speculations are suggesting a powertrain that will produce over 300 horsepower.
2021 Mitsubishi Triton Price and Release Date
We still don’t know if the 2021 Mitsubishi Triton is the next-gen model. One thing is sure, drastic changes are about to happen. Thanks to that, a new mid-size pickup truck will cost more than its predecessor. The price should start at $35,000 for the base trim level.
