The upcoming 2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport is available for almost seven years. It is a mid-size wagon that recently introduced its all-new generation. That leads us to the 2021 model that won’t suffer any significant changes. However, Subaru will unveil its V-Sport model for the first time. V-Sport is similar to Ford’s ST division, at least visually.
Moreover, this model delivers more power thanks to its turbocharged engine. Levorg rides on a new global platform, and it shows us the direction where the WRX STI model is going. Levorg is incredibly popular in Japan, but the North American market is not a friendly place for wagons anymore.
2021 Levorg V-Sport Exterior Facelift
The 2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport was presented as a production-ready prototype at the Tokyo Auto Motor Show. It is a part of the new-gen Levorg, but it doesn’t depart that much from its predecessor. Unlike the base model, V-Sport offers different mechanics, including the new engine. Moreover, it comes with more aggressiveness and improved aerodynamics.
Bilstein dampers, new performance tires, and two-pot disc brakes are all available. Furthermore, V-Sport is riding on 18-inch aluminum wheels. The exterior hosts plenty of gloss black and piano black trims. V-Sport is really looking like a modern and sporty crossover, which can’t be said for the base Levorg model.
Interior and Safety
The forthcoming 2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport won’t introduce any significant upgrade. However, the interior is relatively fresh, and it looks very modern. Comfort is guaranteed, and the cabin hosts further silver contrast stitching and chrome accents. The highlight of the new interior is Subaru’s EyeSight safety suite. This technology makes new Levorg a premium model.
It comes with a new wide-angle camera and up to four radar sensors. This is creating a 360-degree view. Subaru is also offering a pre-collision braking and blind-spot monitoring. The 2021 Levorg will host a so-called “high-definition map.” Thanks to it, the vehicle can recognize the shape of the highway ahead.
Engine Specs
The regular model will continue to deploy a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine, aka Boxer. On the other hand, the 2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport will ride on a 2.0-liter GT engine. This bi-turbo unit comes with direct-injection technology, and it generates 296 hp and 295 lb-ft of torque.
Like every Subaru, Levorg is also using a Symmetrical AWD system. Furthermore, a CVT transmission is standard, and it utilizes an electronically-controlled clutches. Thanks to that, V-Sport will split the torque.
2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport Price and Release Date
The approaching 2021 Subaru Levorg V-Sport will cost over $40,000. It is a handsome and modern sports wagon that adds better performance and more equipment. To compare, the base model will start at around $28,000. Levorg won’t be sold in the United States.
