The all-new 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero is on its way. It will be a very exciting year for this SUV for various reasons. As you may know, Pajero is facing a possible discount. On top of that, Mitsubishi is preparing the Final Edition that will become available in Japan.
It seems like Mitsu is giving one last shot with the Pajero model. For that reason, we will see a couple of significant upgrades. As for the U.S. market, Montero model is already discounted. Furthermore, you can find this model on some other markets under the name “Shogun”.

2021 Pajero Exterior Facelift and Rendering Photos
When it comes to exterior changes, there will be a couple of them. The 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero is about to introduce new headlights and taillights. On top of that, those units will be moved further below. Almost the same styling cue can be found on the current Eclipse Cross model. Upfront, Pajero will host a reshaped grille while the side profile will get sportier look. A new character line has been added, and this SUV will provide a sleeker appearance.
Newest rendering photos are online, and we had an opportunity to see how the all-new model could look like. For a start, Pajero looks much better on these photos than in reality. Moreover, rendered variant hosts a split-headlights, and wheel arches are looking bolder. In the back, Pajero could gain more rugged appearance in combination with the distinctive LED taillights.

Interior Updates
Sadly, interior details are not available yet. We expect a couple of changes, but none of the changes will be significant. The 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero will continue to offer three rows of seats. That means there will be room for seven passengers, like always before. For 2021, Pajero could gain slightly higher level of comfort. On top of that, we can expect new infotainment system.
Standard and optional displays should remain, along with the complete interior layout. That also includes the arrangement of buttons and controls. The dashboard looks very modern and simple. Some fans are complaining about its out-of-date design, but it seems perfectly fine for us. Lastly, Pajero will most likely gain new optional features, mostly latest driver-assistance aids.
Same Four-Cylinder Turbodiesel Engine
As everyone expected, the new 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero will offer the very same 3.2-liter four-pot engine. This turbodiesel is producing 190 hp and 325 lb-ft of torque. Unlike the rest of the segment, Pajero is using a 5-speed automatic transmission. Loading optional AWD system is more than recommended.
As for the American version, Montero will offer the same gasoline engine as well. You can forget about the hybrid version and all of the speculations on this subject. After all, Pajero is closer to the end of the production than ever before.

2021 Mitsubishi Pajero Price and Release Date
The Japanese manufacturer will keep the existing price for its all-new 2021 Mitsubishi Pajero. It is a surprise as the next model will introduce a couple of drastic upgrades. The price of this three-row SUV starts at $33,000.
Pajero Sport is a very popular model that we didn’t mention until now. This sporty version will be priced at $45,000. You can expect new Pajero, Montero or Shogun in the second half of 2020.
