2021 Armada Exterior Upgrades

When it comes to exterior design, the new 2021 Nissan Armada will get a couple of minor updates. Whatsoever, a vehicle’s dimensions and shape will largely remain. That also means the platform is unchanged. You won’t be able to spot a difference between gasoline and diesel versions. Armada will continue to deliver a robust appearance with sharp and modern design. Moreover, some parts are looking very aggressive. The goal for 2021 is to deliver a more stylish SUV with a unique design. Armada wears a recognizable design language and it looks upright.

The front fascia will get more chrome accents while the grille and headlights are intact. Moreover, the rear part comes with the same LED taillights as the current model. To the sides, we can expect subtle visual updates while the 18-inch wheels are still offered as standard. Upper trim levels, such as Platinum, are offering larger 20-inch rims. Interior Mostly Remains

On the inside, Armada SUV won’t get such a drastic change. Whatsoever, the design of the 2021 Nissan Armada will be a carryover. That means the interior will keep its current design and the cabin layout. There is room for eight passengers across the three rows of seats. The interior looks stylish, modern and upright. However, at least something will be new.

The infotainment system is getting an update and upper trim levels will gain more equipment. As for the base model, new safety aids will be in the offer. The cabin is roomy, but if you want more space, go for the Platinum trim level. This model reduces the number of seats to seven, which results in better legroom.

Here Comes The Diesel

Under the bonnet, this full-size SUV is also unchanged. Thanks to that, the new 2021 Nissan Armada will use the same 5.6-liter V8 powertrain. This engine is the most powerful gasoline output Nissan has to offer at the moment. It delivers 390 horsepower and 395 lb-ft of torque. While powerful, its fuel economy is rated at only 16 mpg combined. Potent V8 can tow almost 9,000 pounds. Moreover, we don’t expect any improvements in terms of performance. A 7-speed automatic transmission is standard, while the 4WD system is optional on the base trim level.

The latest addition is a V8 diesel engine. Its big news for all Armada fans as the 5.0-liter powertrain is available. This unit will be optional and it will provide 320 hp and 555 lb-ft of torque. The same engine powers Nissan Titan XD pickup truck. If you need better towing capacity, go for diesel that is rated at 12,000 pounds.
