The all-new 2021 Toyota Yaris is coming to the markets once again. This model will slot below C-HR model. However, Toyota will transform Yaris into a direct competitor for Nissan’s Juke and Renault’s Captur models. From what we know, Yaris will be sold in British dealerships but it won’t arrive in the United States. Yaris will get new interior touches and latest phone integrations.
The 2021 model is the part of the third-generation that is introduced in 2017. Yaris comes with great fuel efficiency and very modern interior design. Moreover, Toyota provides a great list of standard amenities. However, its acceleration and suspension will have to improve in the near future.

Is 2021 Yaris Becoming a SUV?
It depends on the market, but Yaris is available in coupe, hatchback and sedan variants. However, the 2021 Toyota Yaris will become an SUV and a really small one. According to the latest reports, this model will be transformed into SUV in order to rival Nissan Juke. We still don’t know if Toyota will keep Yaris nameplate, but it is a possibility.
This SUV will be designed to slot below the C-HR crossover. Moreover, a new model will be below 160-inches long. According to Toyota, Yaris, like the Ford Fiesta model is the most robust in the segment. Moreover, Yaris is a perfect candidate for such a thing as becoming an SUV.

Trim Levels
At this moment, Yaris is available L, LE, XLE trim levels. In the future, 2021 Toyota Yaris could gain at least one new trim level. However, for now, Yaris comes in its base L variant. This model rides on 15-inch steel wheels, two USB ports, Bluetooth and automatic emergency braking.
The LE trim level adds larger 16-inch alloy rims, fog lights, rear spoiler and LED lights. Moreover, keyless ignition and entry feature is standard. The range-topping XLE adds full LED lights, automatic wipers, leather upholstery and two driving modes (Normal and Sport).

Engine Speculations
The current model is using a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine. This unit delivers 106 horsepower and 103 lb-ft of torque. Normally, this engine won’t be available in the SUV variant. Its horsepower figures are far from satisfying and Yaris’ acceleration is pretty slow, even for the subcompact segment.
For that reason, Toyota’s new SUV will use something more powerful, possibly a 2.5-liter gasoline engine. So far, this is just a speculation and don’t be surprised if you see a plug-in hybrid variant too. Moreover, Yaris will surely lose its manual transmission in favour of an 8-speed automatic gearbox.
2021 Toyota Yaris Price and Release Date
Will Japanese manufacturer transform Yaris into an SUV or a new SUV will be based on Yaris? No one knows at the moment. Current Yaris costs $16,000 and the SUV version will start at about $20,000.
Moreover, its range-topping trim level will be priced at around $25,000. Toyota’s newest SUV will go on sale at some point during the second half of 2020. The most likely rival is the Nissan Juke model.
