The upcoming 2021 Nissan Sentra will be completely redesigned. This four-door sedan surely looks more competitive and definitely better than its rivals, such as Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic. Sentra will enter its eighth generation, and it will arrive with a fresh look. The new model will be slightly wider, and it will sit closer to the ground.

That means the overall proportions are changed, and the car will own better aerodynamics. The interior will also look more modern, and Nissan will provide the cabin that looks closer to the Nissan Altima model. As for the performance, the engine is still a mystery. No doubt, the new Sentra will draw more interest from the customers.

According to the latest reports, a new 2021 Nissan Sentra will be the next-gen model. The arriving sedan will now feature more styling cues borrowed from elegant Altima and sportier Maxima models. A prominent V-shaped grille remains, but arched headlights and new and are providing a more upright appearance. The rear part will get further changes on C-pillar, and floating roof design is brand-new.

The taillights are shaped in the same way as the headlights. 18-inch wheels are now looking more premium than the rims on the current Sentra. Nissan will provide eight exterior paints, and two-tone schemes will be optional. Lastly, the new Sentra will be two inches wider. Moreover, this sedan will now sit 2.1 inches closer to the ground.

Interior Upgrades

Inside the cabin, the 2021 Nissan Sentra will provide the same center stack as in the Altima sedan. That includes the mounted infotainment display and another separate screen that sits on top of the dash. The Japanese carmaker will add more chrome trims, and the interior will look shinier and more upscale. The black upholstery remains, just like the three-pedal layout.

Thanks to that, a manual transmission is certain for 2021. Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 is available once again. This safety suite adds six advanced driver-assistance features. That includes technologies such as Intelligent Around View Monitor, blind-spot monitoring and lane-departure warning.

New Optional Engine

Sentra’s engine is still a mystery. According to the latest reports, the 2021 Nissan Sentra could get a new engine with a CVT transmission. At this point, no one knows which engine could make the production, but this unit will be optional for sure. On the other hand, a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine remains standard engine choice. This output delivers 150 hp and 145 lb-ft of torque.

Aging 1.8-liter is the past, and it is no longer available. Moreover, Nissan will now offer new twin-tube shock absorbers upfront. Additionally, a new electrically boosted steering system is installed, and it provides better handling. In the back, Sentra will gain a new independent suspension system.

In the United States, the upcoming 2021 Nissan Sentra will start at $20,000. The sales will start at the beginning of 2021. However, this sedan will firstly arrive in Asia in late 2020. Sentra will be available in three trim levels, and we are still waiting for official details about the new powertrain option.
