The forthcoming 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade is a true refreshment in the company’s lineup of pickup trucks. Beside Tundra, Tacoma and Sequoia will also get the very same Nightshade treatment. Pickup trucks will be sold in 5,000 units only. This model comes with a darker appearance, and it adds numerous color choices and more equipment. So far, Nightshade was based on the SE trim level. From now on, this treatment will be based on the Limited trim level. That means the Nightshade is now a very premium version.
2021 Tundra Nightshade Goes Dark
We just wrote this, but the new 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade will be based on the Limited trim level. That means the Nightshade Edition offers everything from the Limited trim level and slightly above that. So if you are looking for a premium pickup with darkened exterior and interior, here’s your answer. Toyota offers an amazing level of black rims on the wheels, grille, mirror caps, and door handles. The chrome grille is looking impressive, and it sports new inserts.
The front fascia offers black fog light bezels while the rear comes with the new exhaust tip. The side profile provides Dark Smoke 18-inch alloy wheels. For instance, Tacoma Nightshade will offer the same wheels. Tundra comes with Magnetic Gray Metallic and Midnight Black Metallic exterior paints. Moreover, a Windchill Pearl Look and Super White colors are available.
Black Interior Theme
Inside the cabin, a new 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade is also getting a lot of updates. Logically, the interior is all-black, and it will be more premium than the luxury Limited trim level. Black leather seats, numerous badging, and larger touchscreens are all offered as standard.
Generally, Tundra Nightshade offers a long list of standard equipment. Regular 2021 Tundra will gain numerous refreshments, and the Nightshade Edition will also benefit from it. Thanks to that, expect more driver-assistance aids, new displays, and more high-tech features.
No Engine Changes
Under the hood, this pickup truck won’t introduce any changes. That means the 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade is more of an appearance package than the high-performance version. A 3.5-liter V6 that powers the regular Tundra pickup is present once again. You can find the same powertrain option in the Lexus LS500 model.
Moreover, this version will arrive with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Optionally, you can choose between 4.6-liter and 5.7-liter V8. Besides three engine options, Tundra will offer a standard two-wheel-drive and optional four-wheel-drive systems.
2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade Price and Release Date
The all-new 2021 Toyota Tundra Nightshade will more than a Limited trim level. However, exact pricing details are yet to be announced. We can expect for this pickup to start at $45,000 or slightly below that.
Moreover, a new model will be sold in 5,000 units, and it will arrive this Summer. As we already wrote, Tacoma and Sequoia pickups are also offering the same Nightshade Edition.
