Despite this, Supra share plenty of similarities with BMW Z4, and that includes the platform and engine.

2021 Supra Exterior Facelift

The upcoming 2021 Toyota Supra has been inspired by the FT-1 Concept that made its debut five years ago. This sports car borrowed plenty of cues from the concept, including the angular nose and triple-vent grille openings. The front fascia looks very distinctive, but the best angle to look at the new Supra is from the side.

The side profile provides a perfect look, and it reveals all of the key details. Moreover, the rear part comes with LED taillights and sharp central brake light. The 2021 Supra takes a wider stance, and it looks sporty. Dual exhaust tips on either side contribute to that sportiness.

Interior Borrows a Lot From BMW

The cabin is equipped with fine materials and great finishes. New 2021 Toyota Supra offers an intuitive infotainment system, and the driver-focused cockpit is tight. The headroom is more than solid, but taller passengers will still have some problems with it. Cargo area is cramped, nothing less than we expected. Most of the interior is shared with the BMW Z4 model.

Some things on the inside are very easy to recognize, and that includes BMW switchgear and its latest infotainment controls. Supra offers a standard 6.5-inch display while the 8.8-inch unit is optional. The optional touchscreen supports navigation, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. A 12-speaker premium JBM sound system is another optional feature that is standard on upper trim levels such as Premium or Launch Edition.

Engine Specs, Fuel Economy, Acceleration

For a start, all of the 2021 Toyota Supra trim levels will use the same 8-speed automatic transmission. The rear-wheel-drive system is offered as standard and Supra sprints from 0 to 60 mph in 3.8 seconds. These figures put Supra in the same league with Chevy Corvette and Porsche Cayman GTS. The power goes through a twin-turbo six-cylinder engine that delivers 320 hp.

Some fans are still hoping to see a manual gearbox, but that is unlikely to happen. On the other hand, rumors are predicting a lower-priced four-cylinder variant that will offer a manual transmission. Supra’s suspension provides perfect ride quality, and its fuel economy is rated at 26 mpg combined.
